Choose where you shop your computers wisely, it might just dictate the experience you’ll get for years to come

If you’re having a hard time choosing between Mac or PC, there are two ways you can speed up that decision: flip a coin, or take a look at the pictures above.

InfoSec Taylor Swift released these images earlier today with the following caption: “Aisles of the Windows customer experience!” A security-focused Twitter account that dispenses valuable advice to some 50K followers, @SwiftOnSecurity isn’t biased in any way.

You’ll find him / her / them taking jabs at every platform out there, both hardware and software, so long as there’s something to ridicule or laud. This time, it’s quite easy to spot which of the two intended purposes was behind the decision to share this image. Though I feel it’s somewhat incomplete.

To truly assess how wrong it is to take such barbaric measures, take a look at picture #4, which depicts an Apple store. Sure they get hit a lot by burglars, but somehow they still rake in billions every quarter. The important thing is the customer doesn’t have to suffer. If you want access to a computer’s features, you’ve got it. Want to pick it up and see how it feels? You can do that too. Best of all, the display tables don't make you feel like a potential thief.

But if you must have a Windows laptop from Best Buy (or Walmart, or whatever store this is), don’t stick your hands in those holes before making sure there’s no overweight kid riding their parents’ shopping cart down the aisle.
