Leak supports all the latest rumors, including the thinner form factor

It’s pretty clear now that Apple’s fifth-generation iPad will adopt the design of the iPad mini and apply it to the 10-inch form factor with narrower edges around the screen and a thinner (and lighter) body.

And the latest leak from China supports this rumor (yes, it’s still labeled as a rumor) to great extent.

Feast your eyes to the touch panel pictured above (courtesy of Nowhereelse.fr). It’s what they call a “digitizer” in Geek. It’s the glass surface that records your touches and sends signals to the iPad’s electronics to translate it into actions on-screen.

This glass panel is also a protective layer, as well as a design element of the elusive iPad – notice the thin white bezel traveling all around the transparent glass in the middle.

Although the leak doesn’t give away anything new, one thing we can say for sure is that you’ll be able to buy one in white. Oh, and there's also a small chance this leak is fake. Just so you know.
