Customers begin complaining about the app’s dated look and feel

Two weeks after iOS 7 made its triumphant debut, all popular third-party apps in the App Store received a fresh new look to stay on par with Apple’s flat graphics.

Well, not all of them, to be frank. WhatsApp Messenger – which is one of the most popular (and profitable) titles in the iTunes App Store – is still lagging behind with its old iOS 6-style graphics.

The IM client looks awfully dated on handsets running iOS 7 and the users are starting to complain.

“After downloading iOS7 the app doesn't look as good! Still basic and won't work as good now!” writes one customer who also seems to be having problems with functionality.

Another one chimes in to say, “Whatsapp devs, it doesn’t fit with iOS 7. The style inside the app is still iOS 6, this should have been sorted.”

Many others are singing the same tune and, as much as I miss iOS 6 sometimes, I have to agree. WhatsApp has no place being on iOS 7 looking the way it does today.
