14 DAY TRIAL // Vimeo fans looking to share videos with friends nearby no longer have to connect to the Internet to do so. An updated iOS Vimeo client is available now with AirDrop integration.
According to the release notes for Vimeo 4.0.5, users can now “Instantly share synced videos with nearby friends, no Internet required.” This is all thanks to AirDrop integration, which allows users to swap files wirelessly using Bluetooth. The feature also works on Wi-Fi, if necessary.
The new Vimeo also offers a new, “Incoming” feed, which acts as a social inbox for your video activity on Vimeo. The Watch Later feature has been improved, and you can now select Wi-Fi or Cellular connectivity in the Sync Settings. Lastly, the update introduces some memory and performance enhancements to make the app more stable and reliable.
