Cupertino is having some problems with its content delivery network

VideoLAN has coded up a new version of its formerly-rejected VLC Player for iOS, and Apple has approved it. The download has been unavailable for the past two days, though.

Because of some issues with Apple’s content delivery network (CDN), VLC for iOS is currently unavailable in some countries. VideoLAN assures users that the app is ready.

“Something appears to be wrong with @AppStore’s CDN today. VLC on and off throughout the world, no top charts,” writes Felix Paul Kühne, lead developer on VLC for Mac and iOS.

VLC has had a controversial life on Apple’s iOS platforms. In fact, for the better part of its existence as an iOS binary, VLC Player has been kept out of the App Store by Apple.

This time around, it seems it’s good to go.
As Apple works out the kinks with its CDN, you can check the link below when the download works.
