iOS is getting bloated with new, non-deletable apps almost every year, and this is something that has spawned a noticeably-long thread on Reddit with users slamming Apple for wasting their precious storage space.

“I think it's a waste of space on my iPhone. I mean I understand for people new to iOS but those season veterans we don't really need it,” writes OP gthagod.

With 135 upvotes and plenty of comments to boot, the thread’s participants unanimously voted for the removal of certain apps that come pre-installed with iOS, yet few people hardly ever use them.

These apps include the infamous Game Center, whose interface could easily be invoked through a preference panel, or via the game itself; the aforementioned Tips app which, although useful even for veterans, should be deletable at the user’s decision; Stocks and Newsstand – not everyone is a broker and not everyone prefers to squint while reading a magazine; Videos, which is probably the least-used video app on iOS, and others.

This year Apple also pre-loaded iOS 8 iDevices with iTunes U and its three iWork apps which, unlike the other apps we mentioned, can be deleted.

Indeed, while iOS is certainly bloatware free, Apple seems to be engaging in similar practices by pushing its software onto users a tad too forcefully.
