Apple had significant growth in two different fields: AppStore numbers and the Apple TV.

The most important numbers are setting a new record in revenue and the number of customers making transactions in the AppStore. According to CNBC, the last time they had over $1 billion (€750 million) in transactions through the AppStore was last December.

The numbers for July of 2014 are even more impressive. However, Apple has not reported any numbers on this. According to 9to5mac.com, Tim Cook said that iTunes was its fastest growing business thanks to strong App Store results. That included a 12 percent increase year-over-year with a $4.5 billion in revenue for iTunes during the second quarter of 2014.

Tim Cook himself sent out a tweet to mark these numbers, "Thanks to our amazing developer community! Apple says July was record-setting month for app store revenue."

The ABC News app for Apple TV set a new record. Although it was launched a little over a month ago, the app is actually more popular than the similar desktop app. According to ABC, the users watch 50% more ABC News live videos on Apple TV than on desktop and mobile combined.

Their local news feature is also popular. Viewers in San Francisco and Los Angeles left the cable TV just to watch the content via Apple TV.
