Apple finally approves Twitter’s new iOS client with photo filters

Twitter’s latest update on the mobile front is giving Instagram a run for its money. Version 5.2 adds a new feature that enables users to take photos within the app and apply filters, then share with the world. The new app is now available for download.

At the time Twitter made its announcement, Apple was yet to approve the updated application. Today we can confirm that Twitter iOS 5.2 is up for grabs in Apple’s App Store.

The flagship feature of this release is the ability to apply one of eight filters to add a new feel to your photos. The update is also chock-full of improvements and bug fixes. The user interface has been overhauled as well.

The Twitter iOS client is compatible with all iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad models that support iOS 5.0. It is also optimized for iPhone 5.
