Multiple-timeline Twitter client Tweetbot just got a promotion on OS X. The app can do large image thumbnails and three finger swipes. Version 1.5 also comes packed with a few fixes.

If you’re serious about your tweets, chances are you’ve got the justifiably-expensive Tweetbot installed on your Mac. Frankly I don’t know how Tapbots has the nerve to charge $19.99 / €17.99 for this app. Then again, considering it’s a rare commodity in some parts of the world, a high-enough price can make it a case of sour grapes.

Version 1.5 brings a large image thumbnail option, along with the ability to do away with thumbnails completely if you wish so. You’ll find these tweaks in the display settings.

The design of image thumbnails has been revamped, and you can now use three-finger left/right swipes in your timeline with the trackpad settings configured accordingly.

An issue where some context menus had the first option highlighted by default has been addressed, and any layout issues that you may have experienced when viewing tweet details are also gone now.

Download Tweetbot for Twitter version 1.5 on any Mac running OS X 10.7.4 (Lion) and enjoy these new features today. The update is free for all existing users.
