Twitter Inc. may be moving at a slow pace dishing out new features for users of TweetDeck on Mac OS X, but the updates are at least coming on a regular basis.

This week is no exception, with TweetDeck 3.4.0 making an appearance in the Mac App Store (as well as a standalone download). It brings a single new feature, but one that avid fans of the platform will be delighted to use: custom timelines.

Now your timeline will look and behave just the way you set it to. Twitter has been making visible strivings to give users more customization options in recent months.

According to Twitter’s description of the Mac client (emphasis mine), “TweetDeck makes it easier for publishers, marketers and power users to track the real-time conversations they care about. It brings more flexibility and insight to power users through a customizable layout that lets you keep up with the people and topics that matter most to you.”

Download TweetDeck on any system running OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or newer and create your own custom timeline today.
