The popular BitTorrent client, Transmission, has been updated to add support for Apple’s Gatekeeper in OS X Mountain Lion, as well as Retina graphics for the new MacBook Pro with Retina display.

For all supported platforms (including Mac and Linux), Transmission 2.60 improves scraping behavior for certain trackers, updates versions of miniupnpc and libuTP, and fixes issues when adding magnet links.

The update further fixes a bug where cleared statistics might not save, as well as compilation issues with Solaris and FreeBSD. Other minor fixes have been included as well.

On the Mac front, Transmission is now “ready for Gatekeeper on Mountain Lion,” and delivers Retina graphics for the newest Apple notebooks. A filter has been added, along with some much-needed “select all / deselect all” buttons to the add window.

Last but not least, Transmission now supports OS X Lion's window restoration for several windows.
