14 DAY TRIAL // The popular TiVo app for iPhone and iPad now features sound effects (in the Player function), according to its developers. The creators also squashed some nasty bugs in the latest version of their iOS client.
Whether or not you own a TiVo DVR, you can get the TiVo experience on your iPhone or iPad by downloading the free app from iTunes.
“Turn your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch into command central for your TiVo DVR,” says TiVo Inc. “Now you can search, browse, discover and share without ever interrupting the show you’re watching.”
The developers decided to release an update to patch some issues that users have reported about, including one particularly annoying bug affecting My Shows. Users reported that the list of shows was not always in sync with the connected TiVo DVR. According to TiVo Inc., the latest version of the app (2.2.1) should take care of this aspect once and for all.
The update also adds TiVo sound effects to the Player and some additional “general bug fixing,” according to the release notes.
