Usain Bolt, David Beckham and P Diddy are just a few of the people who buy gold-encased diamond-encrusted phones from Goldgenie, but the company’s founder claims he has a new product that even these guys will think twice about buying (before ultimately plucking out their checkbooks).

An iPhone 6 made purely of 24-karat gold and encrusted with dozens of diamonds around the sides and on the Apple logo is currently available from the posh firm for a whopping £2.3 million ($3.51million / €3.07 million).

Founder Laban Roomes tells Mail Online, “This is probably the most exclusive phone at this time, date in the world. I would say it is worth as much as a small island.”

Dubbed the ‘Diamond Ecstasy iPhone,’ the device can be custom designed with gold, platinum or rose-gold finishes, while the client even gets to personally choose the diamonds or other gemstones they want fitted onto its chassis.

So if you think buying a small island is arrogant or vain, think again. At least an island can’t be dropped in a sewer and be lost forever. Now THAT would be money down the drain. Check out the gallery below, and tell me what you think in the comments section below. What would you do with £2.3 million / $3.51million / €3.07 million?
