Apple is giving Shadowmatic special attention on the App Store, and for good reason too: the game is quite possibly the most original new IP to bless the App Store today, and we have a video below to show it to you.

The game’s mechanism is simple: you rotate abstract objects in a spotlight to create silhouettes of actual things as projected shadows. The objects you create must be relevant to the surrounding environment. The amazing graphics, coupled with the immersive sound score, make this one a true gem. The experience is truly atmospheric. You can get lost in it for hours!

The game unfortunately both costs money ($2.99/€2.99) and has in-app purchases, which doesn’t sit too well with us, but the quality somehow forces us to let it slide. It features 9 rooms, “each flavored with unique concept, atmosphere, and music,” according to its creators, TRIADA Studio.

Shadowmatic has hints for when you’re stuck, though TRIADA encourages players to use them as little as possible to enjoy the game to its fullest. The amazing music can also be found on iTunes, as purchasable tracks. According to the iTunes description, Shadowmatic requires only iOS 6 to run. However, the developers say it works best with new devices, such as iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2.
