A New York-based accessory maker called MIPOW has announced a range of portable chargers for iPhone, sporting Lightning connectors and an extra USB output, just in case you’re on something other than iOS.

As MFi accessories, these external chargers are officially endorsed by Apple. And it shouldn’t be a surprise, considering their awesome looks and cool functionality.

According to creator MIPOW, these Lightning-ready, cable-less portable chargers support Apple's latest generation of products, and beyond, “[going by] Apple's announcement that new products would be equipped with Lightning connectors instead of the 30pin interface,” says the firm.

The product series includes the Power TubeTM 2600 (Lightning version), Power TubeTM 3000L, Power TubeTM 4000L, Power CubeTM 5200L, and Power CubeTM 8000L (iF Product Design Award winner).

All models are specially designed for the iPhone 5, iPad (4th generation), iPad mini, iPod touch (5th generation), and iPod nano (7th generation), says MIPOW.

Made of anodized aluminum alloy, the PowerTubes and PowerCubes come with battery level indicators. Just shake the thing and see how much juice it still packs. Pricing is around $50 / €38.37 apiece.
