Sketchy report seemingly confirms the obvious idea that the iWatch has an SDK

In order to be successful on the first run (pun intended), the iWatch has to work not only with the Maps app and the Health one.

A smartwatch-like device has to have built-in 3rd-party functionality like mobile payments and sensors and a great SDK (Software Development Kit). Therefore, it is common sense that the iWatch will get apps developed by others. Nobody wants a 1st-generation iPhone-like device with just the built-in apps.

A sketchy report, that cites the always "knowledgable sources" says that the iWatch will get an AppStore. It appears that a small group of high-profile social network and services companies that have apps on the iPhone will also get their chance to be amongst the first ones to give the iWatch a run for its money (pun intended. again)

The report confirms that the SDK was recently seeded to these developers just because Apple wants to have a "here what you can do in a week for the iWatch" moment, on Tuesday. This is common practice at Apple. They have invited game developers to show how the 64bit iPhone processor will immensely increase the graphics look and feel.

Apple will most probably unveil their iWatch on Tuesday, September 9, and needs to show something to motivate developers to work for them and the users to buy it.
