Goophone has officially kicked off sales of its iPhone 5S knockoff, dubbed i5S. The smartphone (if you can call it that), runs Google’s Android operating system and sells for a lot less than an original Apple iPhone.

Never shy of ripping off Jonathan Ive’s designs, China’s Goophone has done it again this year. The strangely-named company has started selling the $149.99 / €115,00 phone to the masses, hoping to cash in on the hype surrounding Apple’s rumored iPhone 5S.

The Cupertino giant is expected to unveil an iterative version of its popular smartphone dubbed “iPhone 5S” this summer. Analysts say it will look a lot like the iPhone 5, and the Goophone i5S attempts to take the lead with an identical form factor and design.

The Goophone i5S has a 4-inch display with 854×480 resolution (non-Retina), and a 5.0 megapixel camera on the back.
