The device is visibly taller, even though the difference is just half an inch (1.27 cm)

Despite being only about half an inch taller than its predecessor, the iPhone 5 looks a lot more svelte compared to the iPhone 4S. However, the designs still look very similar when viewed from the front.

Images leaked out by French site Nowhereelse.fr show a partially assembled iPhone 5 next to a current-generation Apple smartphone - the iPhone 4S.

The source has been leaking photos of the parts making up the iPhone 5 for a few weeks now. They’ve sourced enough components to be able to put them together and show what the finished product will look like.

As the collage above indicates, the next-generation iPhone is taller than the iPhone 4S. About half an inch taller (1.27 cm) compared to the predecessor. While the figures may not say much, the difference is indeed quite visible.
