Martin Hajek does it again, releases his best renderings to date

Just as Apple finally confirmed the launch date of its all-new Mac Pro, Dutch designer Martin Hajek released some snazzy renderings depicting the system in various enclosures, including glass, punctured aluminum, or various color models.

Looking at these mockups I’m starting to realize that Apple’s own design is pretty dull. Then again, the manufacturing costs for such a high diversity of enclosures would have probably added a few more hundreds to the already expensive bill of materials.

Had Apple sold a Mac Pro looking like this, I’m pretty sure people would be less inclined to liken it to a trash can. The punctured version, which takes cues from the original Mac Pro design, has to be my favorite of the lot.

“Even though some might confuse it for a glorified dustbin with a powercord I decided to model it nonetheless…and to have a look what it might be if Apple had stuck with the design look of the previous Mac Pro,” says Hajek.

Check out the gallery below and then head over to Hajek’s blog for the full set of designs.
