TapeDeck, the vintage-themed audio recorder from SuperMegaUltraGroovy, has finally added Retina display support, as well as several improvements and bug fixes that will delight existing users.TapeDeck 1.5 now fully supports Retina display Macs and, according to its makers, “it looks great.” No question about it. The app’s UI was already a looker, and crisp graphics are always welcome.
Uploading to YouTube has been improved, and users can now send HD videos to the VOD cloud. The application is now sandboxed, and performance has been improved for large tape libraries. Scrolling behavior is also much better in the tape box, says the developer.
Other fixes and improvements have been incorporated as well.
TapeDeck now requires OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or later and a 64-bit processor. A demo version can be had at the link below. It’s good for only a maximum of 15-minute recordings in low quality.
