The official TED application for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch now features subtitles in over 90 different languages and faster buffering, just to name a couple of the enhancements delivered in version 2.0.

Available for free to everyone, including iPhone and iPad users, TED presents talks from the world's most fascinating people in a variety of fields, including education, technology, medicine, business, and more.

The official TED app for iOS delivers more than 1,400 talks, and more are added with each passing week.

Version 2.0 brings subtitles in over 90 languages (available directly from the new video player, or over AirPlay), and translations. Users can now browse the curated TED catalog in their preferred language.

The app is snappier now, and videos have faster buffering and more profiles for different connection speeds, according to the release notes. The app remains compatible with most iDevices, but now requires iOS 6.0.
