At this year’s CES gathering, gaming peripherals maker SteelSeries unveiled an awesome controller for iOS gaming, freeing users from the confines of the touch-screen.

Gaming on iPhone and iPad might look good from afar but, without proper input, thousands of games are virtually unplayable.

Fighting and racing games are the most affected, but there are countless other genres that truly deserve to be played with physical buttons, and this is where the Straus comes in.

The SteelSeries Stratus Wireless Gaming Controller has been “specifically designed for console-style gameplay on iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 7,” according to a press release from the accessory maker. Even Apple TV users can hook it up and play their favorite games on the big screen.

The Stratus Wireless Gaming Controller offers an advertised 10+ hours of battery life on a single 2-hour charge, and it’s available starting today for $99.99 / €73.63 (pre order).
