The San Francisco Examiner reveals that San Francisco District Attorney George Gascón met with various mobile device vendors to talk the growing number of thefts that occur each year.

iPhones were the cause of half the robberies reported in San Francisco over the past year so, naturally, Apple was a hot topic of discussion.

In fact, it was so hot that Gascón let a very juicy tidbit slip out. Per the report in question, “Gascón said Foulkes discussed the long and laborious process of researching and producing a kill-switch technology for devices, and also said the next two generations of iPhones have already been developed.”

The district attorney specifically said of the two devices, “They preceded Tim Cook.” In other words, Steve Jobs not only oversaw the development of the iPhone 5, but also the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 6.

Also worth noting is that, as we’re enjoying a good round of Angry Birds on our latest iPhones, Apple is probably thinking up a new version that has a time traveling feature, or anything along those lines.
