Update delivers the usual bag of fixes and general improvements

Music service Spotify has released its latest OS X client application with numerous fixes and improvements, most of which are under the hood.

Spotify 0.9.7.16 was released earlier today with the purpose of stabilizing the app for some Macintosh configurations, though very few people seemed to complain about anything before.

Nevertheless, the update is here and promises to offer a smoother-than-ever music experience on all Mac OS versions, from OS X 10.5 Leopard to OS X 10.9 Mavericks.

You’ll need an Intel-based Mac if you’re downloading Spotify for the first time (not that you can install it on a PowerPC for the second, or third time), and the default service is completely free of charge. Note that Spotify is not available in all countries.

Thanks to its highly-developed social side, Spotify allows you to easily share songs and playlists with friends. Download Spotify for your Mac right now from Softpedia.
