Charity Buzz managed to raise well over the proposed $10,000 (€7,392) for a meeting with Apple's Edy Cue. The final bid is valued at $85,000 (€62,848).

The last few hours of the bidding race were pretty tough. The winning bid went up from $55,000 to $85,000 in just an hour and a half. There were four main bidders that wanted to meet Eddy Cue and one of them by the name of ARH won the race.

Eddy Cue is the Senior Vice President in charge of iCloud and all the iWork, iLife and Internet services. He accepted this challenge from CharityBuzz, and all the proceeds will go to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Foundation.

Cue is not the first Apple official to enter a bidding race like this one in the name of charity. Tim Cook was actually involved in two similar projects. His winning bets were way over $600,000.

The trick with today's bid is that the winner will get to have lunch with Eddy Cue and will win a MacBook Pro priced around $1,100. The lunch will take place in Apple's campus, sometimes next year.
