The social app now displays more of your contacts and conversations

Skype Communications S.a.r.l. has released a new version of its video-chatting and instant-messaging solution for customers wielding iOS devices. iPhone 5 users are specifically targeted by this release.

Skype iOS 4.1.2 is the first version of the social networking app to add support for the iPhone 5’s four-inch Retina display. So far, the app displayed with two dark stripes at the top and at the bottom of the screen (or left and right, in landscape mode).

Some bug fixes are also incorporated in this release, according to Skype Communications S.a.r.l.

Requiring only iOS 4.3, Skype is compatible with pretty much all iDevices out there, including the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and of course the iPad.
