A picture depicting what appears to be an aluminum mold for the rumored iPad Pro has been leaked in China, purporting to give us a glimpse of the upcoming 13-inch tablet that Apple has planned for enterprise and education environments.

While the Cupertino company could well have something like this planned for later this year or for 2015, the mold depicted in the above photo (apparently cast from aluminum) appears ridiculously large, as noted by the people who shared this image.

Simply carving an Apple logo on the back of the item doesn’t make it more legitimate, so don’t be surprised if this turns out to be nothing more than a fake meant to generate page views. Basically anyone with access to milling hardware could do this.

However, there is the possibility that the person holding the iPad Pro mold has very small hands. Regardless, the photo really doesn’t tell us anything other than what we already know - that the iPad Pro is essentially just a bigger version of the Apple iPad.

Take this with a boulder-sized grain of salt, and by all means do share your thoughts with us in the comments. Do you think Apple has a humongous iPad planned for unveiling later this year?
