One of the best system customization tools for the Mac, OnyX 2.8.3 Beta 3, is out today with a range of new features and enhancements, including the option to tweak your Dock’s transparency/opaqueness.

Titanium Software is only offering a beta update for the moment, but all these changes will soon make their way into a future stable release.

Deleting the diagnostic reports has been improved, there’s a new option to tone down the Dock's opaqueness, and some unnamed bugs have been corrected.

The update adds a preference to display OnyX messages in the Notification Center and there’s a new version of sqlite3 embedded in this beta.

All this is available in OnyX 2.8.3 Beta 3 and you’re free to download the update at the supplied link with no obligation to buy or donate a dime. However, Titanium Software greatly appreciates even the smallest contributions, so consider making one if you’re in a position to do so.
