Bloomberg has reported earlier today, March 4, that the production of the rumored 12.9-inch iPad tablet device manufactured by Apple will be delayed until September 2015. However, this piece of news is proof that a giant iPad tablet, which might be called iPad Plus or iPad Pro, is in the works after all.

According to Bloomberg’s sources, the Cupertino company will start the production of the new iPads sometime in September, because of “delays involving the supply of display panels.” This means that the new device will most likely be announced next year in spring.

As we reported last week, the rumored 12.9-inch iPad will have a 2K display, a 7mm thin profile, a quite powerful 11,000 mAh Li-Ion battery, and around 700 g in weight. At the moment, Apple sells iPads with a 9.7-inch display, which means that people who are in need of a bigger tablet are forced to buy one from the competition.

Until then, Apple will concentrate on the upcoming iPhone 6S smartphone, which is rumored to boast an A9 chipset, 2GB RAM, 3D Touch technology, and an Apple SIM, which allows users to choose their favorite carrier when activating the device for the first time. iPhone 6S might be announced later this year.
