The Pixelmator Team is out with a brand new version of its powerful but simplistic photo editing software for Mac users, Pixelmator 3.3. The release centers around the look and feel of Yosemite and adds new features such as iCloud integration, a Repair Tool extension, and more.

Pixelmator is like Photoshop for the Mac. It packs everything you need to make powerful edits, but it doesn’t clutter your view with a thousand different options, knobs, and objects. Everything you need is there when you need it and disappears when you don’t.

Version 3.3 has just arrived in the Mac App Store featuring a redesigned interface to match the look and feel of OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) and includes support for everything that Yosemite has to offer in terms of new functionality and the technologies used throughout the OS.

For example, Yosemite now lets you switch between Pixelmator on your Mac and iPad thanks to Handoff, a tentpole feature in Yosemite. iCloud Drive is also supported, allowing creatives to store and access their images on all their devices. The iPad version of the app is now seamlessly compatible with the Mac version. You can start editing on your tablet and finish off on the Mac, and vice versa.

The Repair Tool extension, possible only on Yosemite, lets you “quickly fix images outside Pixelmator in apps like Mail or TextEdit,” according to the developers. Download Pixelmator 3.3 and give it a go today.
