Virtualization software maker Parallels Inc. has released an update to the company’s desktop software for Mac, delivering a couple of enhancements meant to improve Mac users’ experience.

Parallels Desktop 9.0.23062.920702 (are these lorry-shaped version numbers really necessary?) is said to address an issue with horizontal scrolling. Users reported problems with mice not working in certain applications, so Parallels Inc. decided to deliver a quick fix.

The second part of the update is “You can now choose whether to download and install the Parallels Access agent, used with the Parallels Access app to work with your Windows and Mac applications from your iPad.”

Released earlier this month, Parallels Desktop 9 requires a Mac with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor; 2 GB of RAM (4 GB or more recommended); 700 MB of disk space for the app itself and another 15 GB for each virtual machine.
