Palringo Group Messenger, the powerful social networking tool primarily used as an IM client, has been promoted to version 6.2 today. The update is a major one, so avid users of the platform are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled.

Palringo 6.2 offers Avatars, allowing everyone to personalize their account with a favorite photo, as well as a new message indicator bubble on the chat screen, and “massive speed improvements to Group Search, with more accurate results,” according to the makers.

Your reputation is now displayed in chat screens, and Facebook Connect has been updated for iOS 6.

Messages are stored more neatly inside the app, but users are told they will need to retrieve history to read any messages saved to their device before the update.

A ton of bug fixes are included too, and if you’re interested in the details, I invite you to head over to the changelog. That being said, you can grab the new Palringo down below.
