Oddworld Inhabitants Inc. has released a remastered version of the console classic Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, an action-adventure video game originally developed by the same studio and published by Electronic Arts for the Microsoft Xbox ten years ago.

The first-person, and occasionally third-person, action game promises to immerse mobile players in over 20 hours of adventure in the wastelands of Western Mudos. “Passionately upgraded” for its iOS debut, Stranger’s Wrath has native gamepad support (for those of you looking to get the original experience), but also comes with intuitive touch controls. The visuals are notably improved in this release.

Players will explore lush forests, huge facilities, and towns transitioning between first-person shooter and third-person platfomer as they scour the land for ammo and supplies. The mission is to “surprise, stun, lure, blast and bag devious outlaws,” but players will also get to enjoy relaxing and often funny convos between townsfolk. Boss fights are on the agenda as well.

Stranger's Wrath supports English, German, Russian, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Finish, Swedish, and Polish, and the game uses Cloud Save, meaning you won’t lose any progress if you accidentally hit that Sleep button.

To download Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, you’ll need iOS 7 or later and at least an iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad mini, or iPod Touch 5th generation.
