Other World Computing (OWC in short) has announced some new memory upgrade kits for 27-inch iMacs which cost hundreds less than Apple’s own build-to-order option.

OWC Memory Upgrade Kits range from 8GB to 32GB. These kits are said to be for Late 2013 iMac 27" models.

“OWC's kits offer memory configurations not offered by the factory as well as savings of more than $240 compared to same-size factory options,” the company says in a press release.

“For hundreds less than what Apple charges, users can select an OWC upgrade to unlock the machine's true potential,” adds OWC.

Users can swap the RAM modules themselves, thanks to a handy memory access panel on the back of the computer. If you want to do it by the book, check out the “how-to” install video included with the OWC Memory Upgrade Kit.
