This is an obscure one, but who says a slow news day has to be boring, right? Here’s evidence that sometimes the best way to troubleshoot your Mac is to go about your business and then come back.

User angelo.a writes on Apple Support Communities, “When I try to start up on my OS X it doesn't work. The screen is stuck at the grey screen with the spinning wheel. While I try to start up bootcamp (Windows 8) everything works and I can do everything.”

He goes to mention that he tried safe booting the Mac, resetting the NVRAM / PRAM, but to no avail. His Mac remained stuck at the grey screen. One hour later, he answered his own question.

“Well guess I was just a little impatient. I restarted my Mac, took a shower, had breakfast and when I came back my Macbook showed the login screen. Really weird that it took so long, because it never happened before.”
