Apple stores to hold quarterly meetings to discuss strategy, operations

Apple plans to close retail stores early under “special hours” between November 17 and November 19, something that some people think might have to do with a “mystery” product launch.

“Nothing ‘mysterious’ here,” according to people with knowledge of the matter. In the aforementioned time frame, Apple will be holding its usual quarterly store meetings to discuss retail operations, give managers pats on the back, and stuff like that.

That’s not to say Apple will not take its online store down once or twice before year’s end. The company still has to open up sales for some recently announced products, including the iPad mini with Retina display and the redesigned Mac Pro, which won’t become available until December.
