A new iOS 8 Beta 6 is out today and BGR says this one is only destined to carriers. Apple usually releases iOS 8 Betas in conjunction with OS X Yosemite Developer Previews.

The latter was released, as scheduled, on Monday. However, a new iOS 8 Beta did not come out. Or at least, that's what everyone thought.

The report says Apple actually did release the sixth beta, but the over-the-air update was not for developers. Therefore, it did not show up in the Software Update menu of the iPhone or on the developers page.

The cited source managed to get their hands on the release notes complete with a change log. The new beta fixes a number of issues.

First of all, iOS 8 Beta 6 solves the problem with the incorrect pop up message displayed when the SIM Card was removed. When it comes to Continuity, this new release fixed an occasional mail failure from OS X to iOS and the issue causing continuity to fail after opening Control Center.

Apple took care of problems with FaceTime poor connection, GameCenter photo settings, iCloud sync that would consume excessive cellular data and iTunes Store links that were not properly displayed in Mail.

Most problems in iOS 8 Beta 5 were notices in apps like Mail and Messages. For example, the previous beta had some issues with duplicating Notes when opened through Gmail. There were also some improvements with Springboard, Push Notifications and Visual Voicemail.
