Cellular iPad mini and fourth-gen iPad with Retina display coming to China

In a press release announcing the upcoming availability of cellular iPad models in China, Apple confirmed that its newest tablet computers had been sold in over a hundred different territories worldwide.

The Wi-Fi versions of the iPad mini and the fourth-generation iPad with Retina display were made available in China on December 7. The iPhone 5 came shortly afterwards, launching in the country on December 14 (also on a Friday).

This next Friday, the cellular iPad models are arriving in China. In addition to this tidbit, Apple also said, “iPad mini and the fourth generation iPad are currently available in more than 100 countries worldwide including the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan and the UK.”

Both iPad versions will be sold through Apple retail stores, the Apple Online Store (www.apple.com) and select Apple Authorized Resellers.
