Cloud sync client software updated only for Mac this time around

Microsoft today rolled out a bug-fix update for SkyDrive Mac users, addressing a recently-reported file sync issue.

SkyDrive 17.0 Build 2033.0115 is a Mac-only update which includes “file sync bug fixes,” according to the scant release notes from Microsoft. Apparently that’s all there was wrong with the software on OS X computers, but if you ask users today I’m sure they’ve got a different version of the story.

SkyDrive offers a 7GB allowance for free accounts and includes paid subscriptions for more storage. You need a Windows Live account to use it (even though you’re living exclusively in Apple’s hardware system), and a 64-bit Intel processor to run the client.

If you’re experiencing file syncing errors, it’s probably best to download SkyDrive 17.0 Build 2033.0115 today and have a go at it to see if it fixes your problems.
