Renowned hacker and security expert Pod2g has just tweeted to his 330K followers, “Found a heavy SMS flaw in iOS. Doesn't involve code execution but still severe. Will write an article on my blog quick.”
Surely Pod2g’s code savvy followers can read a lot more into his terse tweet.
I’m taking a stab in the dark to assume that the bug cannot be exploited in order to create / facilitate a jailbreak, as the hacker said it didn’t enable code execution. More on this as Pod2g lays out his discovery in the promised blog entry.
