Email app still only supports Gmail accounts, still free to download

Mailbox 1.3.1 is out with a nice enhancement for tablet users. Now you can rotate your view to portrait mode and see more content vertically.

Mailbox was initially released for small-screen devices and was available on a subscription model which forced users to queue up and wait for the company to flip on their switch.

Not anymore, as the app has been acquired by Dropbox. It currently only supports Gmail but it’s also iPad-compatible now.

Not only that, but in version 1.3.1 you can switch your view from landscape to portrait, which enables you to see more emails on-screen. The same two-pane functionality applies, so nothing has been left out in this update.

Users who’ve been experiencing issues are equally encouraged to update because the new version also includes some bug fixes.
