It has been confirmed that last week’s JFK iPad heist was orchestrated by a worker for the airport. The theft took place in the same cargo hold as the 1978 Lufthansa heist in GoodFellas featuring Robert de Niro and Joe Pesci.

The FBI arrested Renel Rene Richardson after learning that the worker had made “suspicious inquiries” to fellow workers about gadget shipments and forklifts.

The JFK employee reportedly had two accomplices. Richardson’s task was to lay chickie, according to court papers obtained by the NY Post.

The other two loaded the pallets onto a truck and fled the scene, but not before being confronted by another worker, who apparently wasn’t involved in the heist and found their nightly activity suspicious.

Richardson is reportedly cooperating with Port Authority detectives to locate the truck used to steal the iPad mini shipment. The FBI dodged further questions about the case.
