If you’re not comfortable with Apple’s asking price for the Lightning to 30-pin Adapter, perhaps Nanotch can entice you to buy their $17.95 / €14 “iPhone 5, iPad Mini, Nano Lightning Accessory Cable Adapter.”

That’s right. They’re not only selling this thing for the new lines of iPhones and iPods, Nanotch is convinced their accessory will work with the rumored iPad mini slated by pundits to launch this October.

The company goes as far as to advise customers against going out and buying new accessories for their shiny new iPhone 5 or the upcoming miniaturized iPad.

“Don't go out and buy new accessories for your new Apple iPhone 5 or iPad Mini. This adapter allows you to quickly and easily connect your old accessories to your new Apple devices,” reads the Nanotch advert on Amazon.

The adapter is specifically crafted to let you use the newest Apple products with older accessories. It’s got a 20cm (7.8-inch) cord too, something which Apple’s adapter won’t offer. Then again, you’re probably not guaranteed the same quality in materials.
