The office suite that’s set to dethrone Microsoft Office (according to some), LibreOffice 4.2.0, is now at its third release candidate for Mac, Windows, and Linux.

It shouldn’t strike you as particularly strange that LibreOffice 4.2.0 RC 3 doesn’t bring much new stuff to the table (from RC1 and RC2), as the developers are now ironing out the bugs ahead of the suite’s final release next week.

A couple more RC builds might be needed to give it the final polish but, according to the Document Foundation, LibreOffice 4.2.0 Stable/Final should arrive no later than January 26.

If you can read geek, head over to the LibreOffice 4.2.0 RC3 changelog and sift through it to see the latest fixed bugs. For those of you who want to jump straight to the download, you have three handy links below, as usual.
