If Flappy Bird isn’t annoying enough as it is, seeing ads as you’re angling for that tenth pipe-cross must be the final nail in the coffin. Luckily there’s an app for that!

No, not for beating your Flappy Birds high-score (you wish!), but for the ads. You can take them out using Weblock - AdBlock for iOS, which is now free, I’m happy to report.

The reviews I’m seeing on iTunes are mostly positive, and I can confirm that the tool does the trick: no more ads in your web surfing, and no more ads in some of your apps. That’s some apps, not all. Flappy is one of them, and since everyone wants this bird dead and buried, I thought why not make it a case scenario.

So there you have it. Weblock. It blocks ads on your iPhone or iPad. Also I'll be curious to see how long Weblock lives in the App Store, considering that Flappy's developer rakes in 50K daily purely from those ads.

Disclaimer

Just to make one matter clear: I think Flappy's developer is a genius and he deserves to be compensated for his work. So if you like Flappy Bird, don't kill the ads. It's Dong Nguyen's way of putting bread on the table, and he earned that right. Mark this post purely as a humorous take on the annoyance that this game drives for some people.
