Best Buy is taking cues from Apple’s marketing materials promoting its store’s offerings for the Christmas shopping season. And what better way to do that if not with genuine Apple products?Featuring a cute kid who is clearly in love with everything Apple, the Best Buy commercial mentions the iPhone (with Siri), the MacBook Air, and the iPad.
Trying to reach Santa to no avail, the young protagonist is advised to try and FaceTime Claus at his North Pole address. As he pulls the display closer, the light from the screen colors his face red, signifying that Santa has indeed answered his call.
It’s a nice touch on behalf of Best Buy, and there’s a clear resemblance to Apple’s own commercials too. But who’s complaining?
