Crowd funding service Kickstarter now has its own iPhone app, allowing people to discover new projects, track progress, watch videos, and stay connected with backers on the go.
“Kickstarter is a new way to fund and follow creative projects. Everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology. We love projects!” says Kickstarter Inc.
The ambitious company rolled out Kickstarter for iPhone to allow users to discover new projects, watch project videos, get updates from projects and friends, use the app to stay connected with backers (for project creators), track a project’s progress, and post updates on the move.
The Kickstarter iOS app is free too. It’s compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), iPad, and requires iOS 5.0 or later. It’s also optimized for iPhone 5.
