The designer’s actual profile is alive and well on Apple’s website

Apple seems to be making some adjustments to its Executive Profiles page where you can catch a glimpse of the company’s top brass, complete with a brief description of each exec in part.

But one popular face is visibly absent from the list: Jonathan Ive, the Brit behind Apple’s eye-catching designs. His profile, although still available online, is no longer shown next to other members of the high-ranking executive team.

This inevitably has led to speculation that Jony Ive is leaving Apple, something haters would love to see happen. I’m pretty sure that’s not the case here. It's probably just a backend glitch, or maybe Apple is preparing to instate Ahrendts in her new Retail position.

Ive is arguably one of the most important figures in the company, if not the most important guy they have. Apple simply can’t afford to lose him. And he’s probably getting paid enough to stick around for decades.

Update: Jony Ive is back on Apple's bios page, as expected. Move along people, nothing to see here.
