Early Mac Pro (Late 2013) benchmarks suggested that Apple’s upcoming workstation offered marginal speed improvements compared to older models, but according to a new benchmark result, the computer is blazing-fast.

Apple’s 12-core Mac Pro (Late 2013) scored 32,912 points on the Geekbench 3 scale, which makes it 25% faster than the previous-generation model and about six times more powerful than the MacBook Air.

Speaking of benchmarks, Geekbench 3.1.4 is now available for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.

Released last week, the benchmark tool now offers full support for the Mac Pro (Late 2013), offers the ability to export benchmark results to XML, and addresses an issue that broke Dropbox integration on 64-bit iOS devices.

Geekbench is not only available on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux, but also Android and iOS platforms.
