Nick DePetrillo’s hack bounty racks up cash, bitcoins, bottles of wine

Anyone who can hack the Touch ID sensor is in for a handsome reward, if Nick DePetrillo’s initiative goes as planned.

While Nick doesn’t offer any guarantees that the winner will actually get all of the pledged goods and money, his site does make for a good incentive to put your hacking skills to the test.

A great deal of people listed on istouchidhackedyet.com have offered a reward to “the first person who can reliably and repeatedly break into an iPhone 5s by lifting prints (like from a beer mug),” according to Nick.

However, something tells me that whoever can hack Apple’s Touch ID and obtain a fingerprint will probably be selling their evidence elsewhere (for hundreds of thousands, perhaps even millions).

If you want to add your own bounty to the list, head over to istouchidhackedyet.com with the #istouchidhackedyet hashtag in hand.
